I am a photographic artist based in Brighton.
Having gained a First Class Honours in BA Photography at University of Brighton, I was nominated for the Burt Brill & Cardens’ Graduate Show Student Prize and received the award from the Nagoya University of Arts in recognition of outstanding artistic achievement.
My photographic practice is grounded in research concerned with narratives of the body and identity. For The Mirror series, I produced a set of photographs of my naked 70-year-old mother to challenge received ideas of female beauty – inviting an erotic gaze at a subject whose erotic potential in society is always excluded, or hidden, always a taboo.
